Customer Feedback

“I am equally impressed with the professional and efficient manner in which you were able to maneuver the boat, clear the lines and prep the boat to in order to land this massive fish. I didn‘t even realize the work that you were doing for my benefit until we had the fish netted and in the boat. To me, that is the best advertising for your business! Showing me how well you do your job speaks louder than anyone telling me how well they can do their job. Blackfeather Charters really knows their stuff.”

Feast and Famine

Last night was a dismal day fishing. Only two springs. It was one of those days when you say 'well that's fishing', but you hope you are saying it to someone that actually had the bad day.

This morning, we had the complete opposite day. We left the dock late (6:40) and managed to land seven great spring salmon and one coho within a few hours, and were on our way to the halibut. We set down our gear initially in a turbot patch, pulled the gear and moved a bit north and then started hauling halibut steady. We had quadrupole-headers, and I was sweating just handling the baiting and dealing with the fish. What an awesome change from the day before...I guess that's fishing for you.
