Customer Feedback

“I am equally impressed with the professional and efficient manner in which you were able to maneuver the boat, clear the lines and prep the boat to in order to land this massive fish. I didn‘t even realize the work that you were doing for my benefit until we had the fish netted and in the boat. To me, that is the best advertising for your business! Showing me how well you do your job speaks louder than anyone telling me how well they can do their job. Blackfeather Charters really knows their stuff.”

First halibut of 2009

We went out to try some new halibut ground on Wednesday. There was just two of us in the boat, and we anchored up in about 230 feet of water, a little early before slack high water. The first setup hit the bottom and came back up right away with a turbot. After that one, it was straight halibut for an hour. We never made it to slack water because we were burnt out. In the end, we played 19 halibut, all of which were safely released from our circle hook setups...except two that made it to our plates. That was pretty exciting fishing, and I hope they stick around for the season.
